Video + Podcast = Vodcast?
I’m posting a lot about podcasts this week, mostly because Apple’s entrance into the podcast foray has opened up this medium to a very wide level of distribution. iTunes really gets in right, and it’s a cinch to subscribe, download and manage podcasts.
I’ve found some surprises in the iTunes Podcast Directory, one of which is a “vodcast”, which is a video podcast. (Google the word; I’m not the first to use it…) It’s the MAKE: Blog vodcast, which, while you can subscribe in iTunes, and view in the program as well, does not sync to your iPod. At least not to current iPods. Is this a presage of video iPods to come? In any case, this is the only vodcast I’ve spotted yet; if you know of any others, mention them in the comments.
