2008 Will Be 2008
Forbes is reporting that Microsoft has made the momentous decision to delay Office 2008 until 2008. This is actually reassuring for those of us who, as we age, see the years go by too quickly. When a new version of software, or a new car model, comes out months before its moniker suggests it should, it feels like time is moving too fast. But Microsoft is bucking the trend, and using real dates, instead of some accelerated calendar.
With their experience meeting deadlines, we might even see Office 2008 come out some time in 2009. That’d be like getting a whole year for free.
