I'll post more about working with multiple apps next week, after I've done some real work with it.

Kirk,

I must admit, I am following your notes here quite intently. I've really had it with a Dual 867Mhz G4 machine (1.5GB RAM) I purchased back in 2002. It has been useful and still is, but I am one of those people that has alot of apps open at one time. The machine just can't handle it.

I, too, was considering a Mac Pro as a replacement. The expense though was making me pause. Your article on the Mac mini has made me rethink things a bit.

The Mac mini supports dual monitors, which I currently have setup on my Dual G4. However, I saw a friend's 30" Dell display, and I'm considering going that route.

That said, I look forward to further comments on the Mac mini. I would be interested to know how the machine is handling the load of multiple apps open at one time.

P.S. That is a disappointment that the system sounds are not routed as desired.
