The thing I like about it is that it saves space. When I buy a book that I don't think my wife will be interested in, I'll get the Kindle version, and I don't have to deal with the volume. Alas, our bookshelves all somehow filled up. Not sure how that happened. Also, the Kindle is GREAT for travel - you can load up as many books as you care to and it takes as much space in your carry-on as a paperback.
