(* DJOHI is the colloquial name of the YI JING / I CHINGin chinese)
Founded almost 12 years ago, our association has for itsaims the study and use of the YI JING, It is a forum of communication opento all those who are interested in the YI JING, to receive, develope andexchange information on the subject,
The DJOHI CENTRE regularly organises both introductoryand specialist sessions open to all, including non-members, Three timesa year, we publish a review in the French language called DJOFIL which isthe common link to all members of the Centre,
There are over 100 members, spread throughout not onlyFrance but also Belgium, Switzerland and Italy, Autonomous regional centresregularly meet in Paris, Rennes, Nantes, Strasbourg, Brussels and Geneva,A number of study groups also work to develope our collective understandingof the hexagrams and give a modern interpretation to the changes,
Our basic approach is investigative while remaining faithfulto the chinese tradition by referring to the orginal text of which we haveedited a word for word translation in French.
We have developed a method of analysis and interpretationfor consulting the YI JING which is laid out in our strategy "Safeguardsfor Intuition", The method of the DJOHI CENTRE gives special attentionto the figures: opposed and nuclear hexagrams, the Yin-Yang relationshipsin the obtained hexagram, the position of the lines, the derived and perspectivehexagrams, Equally it concentrates on the original chinese text, translatedword for word and the trigrams in the King Wen sequence,
Cyrille Javary, the founder of the DJOHI CENTRE, and PierreFaure are currently working on a complete and thorough commentary to theYI JING in the French language,
An English translation of Cyrille Javary's book, Understanding the I Ching hasbeen published by Shambhala, translatedby Kirk McElhearn,
Regular exchanges take place with other associations workingwith the chinese approach to energy: TAI JI QUAN, QI GONG, Acupuncture,We are also interested by all new perspectives that could open our understandingto the YI JING: fractals, chaos theory, the laws of chance, etc,..
The YI JING concerns everyone concerned by change,
