Marcel Proust, one of the greatest authors of the 20th century, wrote a huge work entitled La Recherche du Temps Perdu, or In Search of Lost Time (also translated in English as Remembrance of Things Past). This epic work is one of the great masterpieces of French literature, and has entranced me for more than twenty years, since I first read it in its English translation.
Years have gone by, and I have become a translator. I have reread this work a few times since then, and have always been amazed at its depth and scope. These pages are my humble attempt to share this appreciation.
