As I’ve used iTunes Radio during its beta period, I’ve found that sometimes it stops working. Two things may happen: it just stops, and clicking on a radio station to play it doesn’t work. The second thing is a bit odder: I start playing a station, and it cycles through dozens of songs, one a second, and adds them to the History of that station. In some cases, I’ve seen that certain stations don’t work, whereas others do.
So far, the only solution I’ve found is to just quit iTunes and relaunch it. I have a feeling that iTunes Radio will go through some difficulties in its early days, as suddenly millions of people try it out. So if you have issues, relaunch iTunes. If that doesn’t work, try again later; already this morning, the service was down completely, but that might have only been in preparation for the official launch.
And there’s something else I’ve seen. Some of the stations simply don’t work. Have a look at some of the songs that came up when I was listening to the “Jazz Piano Club” station; I don’t see these many of these songs being jazz, though they do have pianos:
